About
Julie Bailey has been creating usable and attractive websites for 6 years in the Durham, North Carolina area. Recently her focus has been on customizing templates, especially WordPress templates. Prior to that, Julie designed and tested software interfaces at companies such as IBM, Adobe and Interval Research in Silicon Valley.
Creating usable and functional interfaces, especially computer interfaces, has always been a part of her education and career. Her educational focus was on cognitive psychology (specializing in how people learn, understand, remember and organize information) and computer science, both of which give her the background to design and implement web pages.
She currently teaches others how to create their own web pages in a Web Page Design course and a Blogging with WordPress at Durham Technical Community College.
Julie received her bachelors degree with honors from the University of New Mexico in Psychology with a minor in Computer Science and Communications. She also has an MA degree in Experimental Psychology from New Mexico State University and attended the University of California at Santa Cruz towards a doctorate in cognitive psychology (ABD).
